Job Title: Production Supervisor

Join Oceaneering, a global provider of engineered services and products, primarily to the offshore energy industry, as a Production Supervisor. This role is responsible for supervising personnel in the Production Department and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and technical and housekeeping standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and coordinate all production efforts and scheduling assigned.
  • Identify problems in the production flow and ensure that necessary labor, material or support is applied to relieve the issue.
  • Resolve technical questions and issues associated within production responsibilities.
  • Interface with customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Frequent travel and overtime may be required.
Requirements:
  • A.S. Mechanical or Foreman Naval and/or Commercial Shipyard with extensive Apprenticeship Program; or High School/GED with Apprenticeship Diploma and additional mechanical vocational courses; or High School/GED with extensive military training and experience in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Ten years' experience may substitute for the A.S. degree.
  • Management/Supervisory experience in submarine operation/repair.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of hands-on experience with installations, repair and maintenance of submarine hull, mechanical, electrical, electronic, ordnance, torpedo room, VLS, submarine mast/antenna, periscope and/or other sensor systems.
  • Four (4) years of specialized experience in performing SUBSAFE/Level I material work.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with submarine and/or surface combat weapons systems, launcher systems or other similar Naval or military system.
  • Knowledge of the naval ship's systems repair organization and procedures.
  • Must have the ability to communicate and interface effectively with personnel within and outside the organization.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. DOD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen who is not a dual citizen of any other country.
Working Conditions:

This position is considered SHOP/INDOORS which is characterized as follows:

  • Primarily indoors during the day and occasionally at night
  • Frequently working on or near moving equipment and vibrating equipment
  • When outdoors, humidity is frequently above 90%
  • Noise is over 85 decibels
  • Light is intense/glare
  • Occasional exposure to open fire/flames/sparks
  • Frequent exposure to airborne dust, fumes, and gases
  • Includes exposure to contaminants
  • Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures
  • Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable
  • Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people
  • Requires working indoors in non-controlled environmental conditions
