Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Medical Assistant Educator to join our team at the State of South Carolina. As a Medical Assistant Educator, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of medical assisting, with a focus on hands-on training and classroom instruction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum for medical assisting courses, including hands-on training and classroom instruction
  • Teach and mentor students in medical assisting courses, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and faculty
  • Develop and maintain current course syllabi and lesson plans
  • Recommend instructional materials and equipment for courses
  • Supervise students in clinical settings
Requirements
  • High School diploma from an accredited school
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Associate degree and/or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • AMA certification by numerous professional organizations preferred
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of clerical experience in either hospital or physician office preferred
