Nursing Care Technician
Job Summary:The University of Kentucky is seeking a skilled Nursing Care Technician to join our team in Trauma and Acute Care Surgical Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care.
- Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
