About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care/Medication Technician to join our team at Preston Greens Senior Living. As a Care/Medication Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on care and physical support to residents, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Observe, report, and document symptoms and conditions of residents, including changes in skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary, and participation in activities.
  • Respond promptly to security system and resident call bells, and notify supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator of any changes in resident needs.
  • Assist with continence management, serve and collect food trays, and maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and work areas.
  • Engage residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities, promoting independence, dignity, and physical safety.
  • Review service plans to learn pertinent information about residents, and assist/observe medications and treatments using the medication observation record and the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident information, including medication, and report any resident concerns to the Nurse and/or Health Care Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
