Job Summary:

The Nursing Care Technician in the Emergency Department is a vital member of our team, responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to positive clinical outcomes. This role involves providing comfort measures for patients, notifying RNs of any changes in patient condition, and working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, adhering to established standards and protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding and coordination of care.
  • Monitor patient conditions, reporting any changes or concerns to RNs in a timely manner.
  • Participate in unit orientations and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Nursing Care Technician is strongly preferred.
  • Good communication skills, dependability, and customer service are essential.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with a minimum of 36 hours per month.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Nursing Care Technician in an Emergency Department setting.
  • Completion of Fundamentals of Nursing Class/Clinical.
