Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and driven Civil Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our expanding Design Management Services team. This role will involve collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists, focusing on delivering high-quality projects for various clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in various aspects of Civil Engineering projects, including the preparation of studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Projects may encompass the planning, modeling, and design of essential facilities such as water treatment plants, utilities, and drainage systems.
  • Implement engineering best practices for a wide range of civil engineering projects, demonstrating adaptability to new challenges.
  • Support senior engineers in the development of project documentation, including plans, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
  • Assist with construction management activities, including material reviews and contractor coordination.
  • Conduct site assessments and inspections, contributing to data collection and analysis for infrastructure projects.
  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships with clients, public agencies, and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in municipal and land development engineering.
  • Active Engineer in Training (EIT) certification for the State of Virginia is required or in progress.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and dependability.
  • Ability to perform fieldwork as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD or GIS.
  • Proven track record of meeting project scope, schedule, and budget goals.
