Nursing Operations Manager

Job SummaryThe Assistant Director Nursing, in conjunction with the Director Nursing, is responsible for the operations and function of their assigned nursing unit/units. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities- Support the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of nursing services within assigned areas.
- Provide education and orientation to new and existing CVOR staff.
- Assist in managing the overall operations of the CVOR department, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, standards of nursing practice, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote patient/family-focused care as the highest priority and strive to meet customer expectations for quality and satisfaction.
- Help facilitate employee engagement plans using evidence-based strategies designed to meet goals and set metrics.
- Provide administrative and financial accountability for planning, directing, staffing, coordinating, and controlling functions and activities.
- Manage and meet financial performance targets, including revenue performance and controls spending of departmental budget.
- Ensure regulatory compliance issues affecting the system and department are understood and maintained at all times.
- Oversee all unit/area activities to ensure operations are safe, efficient, and effective for both patients/families and customers.
- Oversee various personnel actions, including hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, terminations, and other related activities.
- Minimum of Bachelor Science in Nursing with 1 year of RN experience OR 7 years of RN experience required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
- Licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Other certifications/qualifications may be required based on the specific unit or specialty.
