- Communication and Teamwork: Ensure that all staff members are communicating effectively with residents, families, and other stakeholders, and that all communication is respectful, timely, and accurate.
- Culture and Morale: Maintain a positive culture within the nursing home facility and encourage teamwork and collaboration among all staff members.
- Resident Satisfaction: Ensure that residents and their families are satisfied with the level of care and service provided by the nursing home facility.
- Quality Improvement: Coordinate with medical personnel to ensure residents receive the highest possible standard of care.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures that govern the overall operations of the nursing home.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and manage staff to ensure proper delivery of care to the residents.
- Budgeting and Financial Planning: Develop and maintain budgets to ensure financial stability of the nursing home and improve the quality of services provided.
- Admissions and Discharge: Manage admissions and discharge procedures according to state and federal regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality improvement and risk management programs that continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the nursing home's services.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the nursing home operates in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Community Engagement: Coordinate with community groups and local businesses to promote the nursing home and develop positive relationships.
- Healthcare Partnerships: Maintain and develop relationships with healthcare providers in the community.
- Facility Maintenance: Ensure the facility is always clean, safe, and welcoming.
- Licensure: Active Nursing Home Administrator license.
- Experience: At least three years of experience in healthcare management or a related field.
- Education: A bachelor's or master's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing nursing homes operations.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong leadership and team-building skills, outstanding organizational and analytical skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergency situations, ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information, and demonstrated success in managing operating expenses of at least $1M annually.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous sales or business development experience.
