Job Summary

Summary: Responsible for taking food and beverage orders and delivering items efficiently to guests in the dining area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Warmly greet guests in the dining area and take food and beverage orders efficiently, adhering to established service protocols.
  • Deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of menu items and ingredients. Advise guests on suitable food and drink pairings when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences. Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets and allergens as needed.
  • Communicate directly with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order delivery and accommodate special requests.
  • Show exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others. Remain flexible and patient when interacting with guests and colleagues.
  • Collect tickets and adhere to proper cash-handling procedures.
  • Promote a clean, safe, and organized environment for guests.
  • Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
  • Address complaints or issues promptly; relay relevant information or complaints directly to a supervisor.
  • Ensure the dining area is properly set up before and after service periods; keep the area clean and organized while meeting established sanitation standards.
  • Operate various equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
  • Collaborate with staff from other departments to fulfill job duties during special events and functions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
