About the Role

Tend is seeking a highly skilled Director, Financial Planning and Analysis to lead our Finance team and drive a strategic financial planning process to ensure we achieve our financial and company growth goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improving financial outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business objectives.
  • Utilize Looker to design and develop interactive dashboards and reports that provide real-time insights into financial performance and key metrics.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather data, understand operational needs, and provide financial guidance.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support strategic initiatives.
  • Track financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Continuously improve financial planning processes, reporting systems, and tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Manage a team of two Financial Analysts.
Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights and driving financial performance.
  • Proficiency in Looker or other data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills are also required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Healthcare, insurance or multi-unit organization experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work collaboratively within a team environment.
