The Oklahoma Blood Institute is currently in search of qualified candidates for a Community Engagement Sales Representative role. This essential and fulfilling position will significantly contribute to our mission of saving lives.

The ideal Community Engagement Sales Representative is a professional, target-oriented individual who is an active and informed member of the community. This role involves promoting blood donation initiatives to community leaders, organizations, businesses, educational institutions, and civic groups.

Candidates should be customer-oriented and have a background in sales and event coordination. This position is tasked with recruiting new donor groups and enhancing existing partnerships within the designated area. The Representative will strategize, organize, and promote engaging events and presentations to communicate the mission of the Oklahoma Blood Institute. They are expected to devise and evaluate a plan to meet assigned collection objectives and performance standards.

Qualified applicants should possess 1-3 years of sales experience. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; occasional weekends

Working Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; some evenings

Compensation: Competitive salary with a monthly commission structure, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, 401(k), paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and holiday pay; $500 bonus after 6 months and $1,000 bonus after 1 year

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist organizations in scheduling blood donation events to achieve established goals, including during major and minor holidays.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the current group base and implement a plan to increase total unit collection within the area.
  • Solicit and recruit new organizations for mobile donation events within the designated region.
  • Rebook recurring mobile events for the following year.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key accounts.
  • Deliver presentations and represent the Oklahoma Blood Institute to promote blood collection.
  • Provide feedback on customer needs, concerns, and satisfaction, as well as potential expansion opportunities and competitor activities.
  • Interact professionally with team members and stakeholders both internal and external to the organization.
  • Plan work schedules efficiently to maximize sales calls and minimize expenses.
  • Prepare and submit reports for planning purposes.
  • Maintain data integrity within account records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor.
