Summary of Position:

The Clinical Sales Consultant plays a vital role within Paratek's National Salesforce, focusing primarily on engaging with primary care physicians and podiatrists, while also targeting dermatologists as secondary prospects. This role requires the use of analytical data, tools, and insights to craft a comprehensive business strategy, leveraging exceptional interpersonal skills and clinical expertise to promote the adoption of Paratek products among suitable patients. The consultant is responsible for enhancing existing customer relationships and fostering new connections with healthcare professionals and their support staff to meet territory, regional, and corporate goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Engage with designated prescribers within the assigned geographical area.
  • Deliver clinically relevant sales presentations to introduce and expand the market presence of Paratek products, consistently achieving sales targets.
  • Implement tactical strategies aligned with company directives to drive sales performance at individual, regional, and corporate levels.
  • Adhere to Call Plan expectations and achieve sales objectives while complying with all Paratek Policies and Procedures, including the company's Code of Conduct.
  • Educate and promote Paratek products to targeted healthcare professionals through personalized meetings, group presentations, and approved promotional events.
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Business Director and team members, as well as other internal and external stakeholders, to fulfill sales objectives.
  • Communicate effectively and persuasively with clients, utilizing strong selling, listening, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in selling through various communication channels, including virtual and face-to-face interactions.
  • Maintain positive and compliant relationships with all healthcare office personnel.
  • Accurately document sales activities, expenses, and reports in accordance with deadlines set by Sales Management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate entry of required call data following company guidelines.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of Paratek products and related therapeutic areas, completing all necessary training programs.
  • Participate in teleconferences and live national/regional meetings and training sessions.
  • Represent Paratek at industry conventions as required.
  • Regularly analyze sales data to effectively manage promotional budgets.
  • Distribute product samples and maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies and regulations.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Embody Paratek's Core Values: Resourceful, Collaborative, Passionate, Purposeful.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or relevant medical sales is required.
  • Experience executing total office calls in both primary care and specialty settings is essential.
  • Preferred experience includes calling on specialties such as Infectious Disease, Critical Care, Emergency Medicine, Podiatry, and Primary Care.
  • Ability to articulate complex scientific information and understand disease states, patient profiles, and treatment pathways is required.
  • Documented success in meeting or exceeding territory performance goals is essential.
  • Prior experience in promoting newly launched products is strongly preferred.
  • Consultative selling experience is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of product distribution through Specialty Pharmacy is preferred.
  • Knowledge in the antibacterial/infectious disease therapeutic area is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation, organizational, administrative, and communication skills are required.
  • Experience with CRM systems to support territory management is necessary.
  • Must meet all pre-employment screening requirements, including background checks and drug testing.
  • A valid driver's license and a safe driving record are required.

  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel.
