Job Summary

Prism Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of electrical projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will also be responsible for managing project schedules, tracking labor and material costs, and ensuring timely project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
  • Oversee project schedules, including tracking labor and material costs, and ensuring timely project completion.
  • Collaborate with project superintendents to ensure accurate installation and compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project-specific schedules of values to ensure positive cash flow.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress billing and financial reports.
  • Manage all submittals, including creating, submitting, and tracking submittals throughout the project.
  • Maintain accurate records of submittals, drawings, correspondence, and change logs.
  • Price, budget, track, sell, and collect all proposed changes.
  • Purchase materials in accordance with Prism Electric's standard operating procedures.
  • Prepare and manage material buyouts, including scheduling and tracking material releases.
  • Track major deliveries to job sites.
  • Assist project superintendents with miscellaneous issues as needed.
  • Set up and track cost codes and production tracking with project superintendents.
  • Assist project superintendents with production tracking and analysis.
  • Attend weekly job site meetings and prepare outgoing correspondence as needed.
  • Perform project schedule analysis and issue notices and alerts as required.
  • Effectively partner with project superintendents to ensure project success.
  • Organize and submit job closeout documentation, including as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management, financial management, and people management.
  • Knowledge of financial software, accounting practices, change order pricing, and billings.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong budget tracking, labor tracking, and scheduling skills.
  • Proficiency in information analysis and budget setup.
