Senior Project Manager - Prism Electric, Inc.

Position Summary:

The ideal Senior Project Manager possesses comprehensive experience across multiple facets of the electrical construction industry, including commercial, medical, tenant improvements, industrial, governmental, and critical power projects. This role entails overseeing all financial aspects of assigned projects, including tracking and forecasting labor, materials, job costs, and modifications. The successful candidate will also manage monthly financial forecasts, develop job-specific schedules that ensure positive cash flow, and oversee all submittals throughout the project lifecycle. Strong organizational, negotiation, financial acumen, and communication skills are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise project staff in daily operations.
  • Oversee financial reporting and manage labor, material, job expenses, and changes for each project.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure proper implementation of construction drawings.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets based on construction drawings.
  • Prepare monthly financial forecasts for each project.
  • Create project-specific schedules to ensure positive cash flow.
  • Manage monthly billing processes for assigned projects.
  • Oversee the submission and management of all project-related documentation.
  • Maintain logs for submittals, drawings, correspondence, and changes.
  • Review and log all Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Manage pricing, budgeting, tracking, and collection of proposed changes.
  • Procure materials following company standard operating procedures.
  • Organize and manage material buyouts.
  • Schedule and track material releases, coordinating with Superintendents as necessary.
  • Monitor major deliveries to job sites.
  • Assist project Superintendents and teams with various issues as needed.
  • Establish cost codes and production tracking with Superintendents.
  • Support Superintendents in production tracking and analysis.
  • Conduct weekly job site visits and participate in job site meetings as required.
  • Prepare necessary outgoing correspondence.
  • Analyze project schedules and issue notifications as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with job site Superintendents.
  • Organize and submit job closeout documentation.
  • Possess experience in estimating, pre-construction, and design-build processes.
  • Ability to assemble and manage efficient project teams for large or multiple projects.
  • Foster a positive teamwork environment among all project stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop junior employees to help them achieve their career goals.
  • Act in the best financial interest of the company while maximizing profits.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor, even in challenging situations.
  • Meet and exceed all requirements for the Project Manager role.
Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of experience in a Project Manager capacity.
  • Demonstrated skills in people management, process management, and performance management.
  • Familiarity with financial software, accounting practices, change order pricing, and billing processes.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in budget tracking, labor tracking, and scheduling.
  • Skilled in information analysis and budget setup.
