Estimator / Project Coordinator - Prism Electric, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful Estimator / Project Coordinator will be tasked with ensuring a productive workforce equipped with the necessary skills and motivation to meet project timelines and deadlines, while fostering a positive and engaging work atmosphere. The ideal candidate will also focus on maintaining exceptional client relations, estimating, selling, and overseeing successful electrical projects, as well as contributing to the growth of the local division.
  • Core Duties:
  • Estimate, design, and manage electrical projects ranging from $10,000 to $1 million.
  • Build and sustain strong client relationships, fostering trust and long-term repeat business opportunities.
  • Identify clients' electrical requirements and develop NEC-compliant solutions to meet current and future needs.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, engineers, etc.
  • Conduct accurate and timely estimates utilizing Accubid software.
  • Present detailed proposals outlining scope and pricing.
  • When necessary, prepare and submit drawings and load calculations for AHJ approval.
  • Negotiate with clients and suppliers to achieve equitable outcomes.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of projects, including schedules, labor/material budgets, subcontractors, etc.
  • Ensure the overall success and profitability of projects.
  • Adhere to Prism's safety and quality standards in all work.
  • Conduct all job functions with the highest ethical standards.
  • Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated skills in people management, process management, and performance management.
  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, employee motivation, training, leadership, and customer relations.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in budget tracking, labor tracking, and scheduling.
  • Skilled in information analysis and budget setup.
