Inventory Control Specialist

The Jimmy Britt Automotive Family is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to maintain accurate inventory levels and support overall inventory operations. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, conduct regular physical counts, and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Stock Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock is available for production and sales, and report any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter data into supported systems, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and accurately.
- Cycle Counting: Participate in cycle counting processes to ensure continuous accuracy of inventory records.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by collaborating with management to verify any issues.
- Reporting: Generate regular inventory reports, including inventory levels, turnover rates, and discrepancies, and provide analysis and insights to management.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements related to inventory management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the parts team to prevent shortages and overstock situations.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field (Preferred)
- Proficiency in inventory management software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient knowledge of Excel is required
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive movements for extended periods
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
