Contact Government Services, LLC is on the lookout for a Systems Engineering Lead who will be responsible for guiding the architecture and execution of processes that ensure the efficient planning, design, integration, delivery, and maintenance of solution components, all aimed at fulfilling our mission.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Proficient in integrating personnel, processes, and tools to create a system that effectively meets requirements within established constraints.
  • Experienced in supervising the design and execution of processes for efficient planning, design, integration, delivery, and maintenance of solution components.
  • Capable of leading a team of 8 to 10 professionals, overseeing requirements management, product planning, agile process management, configuration management, and research and development in a dynamic, agile setting.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities to define and enhance processes to align and optimize resources across various functional areas.
  • Collaborative with Development and Operations Leads to enhance DevOps processes within the broader systems engineering framework.
  • Adept at mentoring teams to optimize the development, delivery, and operational aspects of our solutions.
  • Possess a strong grasp of technology, capable of creating proofs of concept to showcase functionality along with supporting technical documentation.
  • Driven to explore challenges to discover innovative solutions and expand existing skill sets.
  • A dynamic, energetic, and engaging technical leader who thrives on challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing the design, construction, implementation, and operation of complex enterprise technology solutions for federal clients.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading large-scale development initiatives in an agile environment.
  • Experience in prescribing and implementing DevOps processes, methodologies, and tools in a Cloud setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish, implement, and refine processes to enhance the delivery and operation of technology solutions.
  • Proven experience in effectively managing, mentoring, and coaching resources to achieve shared goals.
  • At least four years of experience serving as a lead requirements manager for a large-scale development contract involving the integration of customer requirements on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with software development concepts (e.g., scripting, encapsulation) and best practices.
  • At least 5 years of experience with programming languages including, but not limited to, Python, Java, HTML, CSS, and markdown.
  • At least 5 years of experience with data modeling concepts in both relational and non-relational data stores (e.g., normalization, inheritance, relationships).
  • At least 5 years of experience in building application integrations using standard REST API interfaces or custom interfaces.
  • Familiarity with the Cyber Mission space and legal constraints applicable to civilian Government Agencies (e.g., SecOps, FISMA, FIPS, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Technical Lead for enterprise-wide software development/COTS integration programs.
  • Experience as a software developer for enterprise-class systems comprising multiple applications.
  • Experience with containerized solutions.
  • Experience producing technical documentation to communicate standard operating procedures and detailed analyses.
  • Experience coordinating work in an Agile environment, especially using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Experience with code repositories, particularly Git/GitHub.
  • Experience with ALM tools, especially Jira.
  • Experience with 'big data' platforms, particularly Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with tools in both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Understanding of current cyber exploits, attack methodologies, and detection techniques using a wide variety of security products, including COTS and open-source solutions.
  • SAFe Certification.
