Culinary Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cook to join our team at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. As a Senior Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food for patients, employees, visitors, and special functions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a wide variety of dishes, including entrees, casseroles, and specialty foods.
- Plan and coordinate food production to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless food service operations.
- Participate in performance improvement activities and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Three years of commercial or institutional cooking experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Knowledge of advanced preparation and cooking measures/procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations and safety practices.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to heat, steam, and noise. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
