In this role, you will assist the Chef in managing kitchen operations, crafting menus, and collaborating closely with our partners. This position is designed to pave the way for genuine career advancement within the organization. Key Responsibilities:

Support the Chef in food preparation, organization, and daily kitchen functions at designated College Fresh locations, aligned with our vision of providing fresh, made-from-scratch meals and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, restaurant, or catering setting
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience
Core Duties:
  • Assist the Chef with food preparation according to established procedures and standards.
  • Receive and organize product deliveries, maintaining inventory for the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Adhere to sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Properly store food, ensuring all items are marked with dates according to company policy.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dishwashing and waste disposal.
  • Represent College Fresh positively in interactions with clients and provide excellent customer service.
  • Follow all management and health regulations regarding cleaning and sanitation.
  • Assist with meal preparation for special events as needed.
  • Serve meals during service hours if required.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned by the Chef or management.
Work Environment:

This position operates in a kitchen setting with equipment such as ovens, stoves, and dishwashers. Employees may encounter heat, steam, and noise regularly.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to reach, lift, bend, kneel, and move items weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current Servsafe Food Protection certificate or equivalent.
  • Compliance with College Fresh policies and procedures.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
  • Maintain proof of individual auto insurance as required.
College Fresh participates in E-Verify for all new hires during their onboarding process.
