This position plays a crucial role in overseeing all claims across diverse insurance lines, ensuring efficient resolution and cost management. Your specialized knowledge will significantly aid in the company's risk management strategies by managing claims, supervising the workers' compensation program, and ensuring adherence to industry standards.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor's degree in risk management, business, or a related discipline is advantageous but not mandatory.
  2. 1 - 3+ years of experience in claims administration, ideally within the transportation or logistics sector.
  3. Expertise in claims litigation, negotiation, and settlement procedures.
  4. Comprehensive understanding of commercial vehicle insurance policies.
  5. Demonstrated negotiation capabilities with the ability to efficiently resolve and finalize claims.
  6. Strong analytical skills with a proactive stance on risk management.
  7. Knowledge of OSHA, FMCSA, and DOT regulations is beneficial.

Primary Duties:

  1. Manage the processing of property damage, bodily injury, workers' compensation, and cargo claims, including communication, documentation, assessment, negotiation, and resolution.
  2. Act as the main liaison for independent adjusters, third-party administrators (TPAs), claimants, and legal representatives to ensure suitable claim resolutions.
  3. Proactively address claims to minimize exposure, costs, and liabilities for the organization.
  4. Engage in investigations of vehicle accidents and workplace injuries, offering insights on causation and prevention.
  5. Maintain comprehensive and organized records for all claims, including relevant documentation and timesheets.
  6. Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the prompt return of injured drivers to work and manage light-duty initiatives.
  7. Oversee OSHA logs and handle reporting related to workplace injuries.
  8. Support operational teams in enhancing driver safety performance, preventing injuries and accidents, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, FMCSA, and DOT regulations.
  9. Administer the insurance processes for all independent contractors, including coverage verification, deduction management, and contract oversight.
