Position Summary

The Logistics Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the effective coordination and implementation of various transportation and scheduling requirements.

This position works in close partnership with multiple departments to plan events, manage staffing needs, and supervise the rental processes for facilities.

The ideal candidate will exhibit enthusiasm, initiative, and exceptional communication skills, providing outstanding customer service, organization, teamwork, leadership, and team development.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None

Key Responsibilities

Master Calendar Management
- Oversee a comprehensive facilities calendar for events utilizing all available spaces
- Document all off-campus events for coordination of activities
- Manage task and activity requests for the Events Team to support onsite meetings
- Lead post-event evaluations and feedback sessions
- Develop plans for implementing improvements based on feedback and collaboration with departments
- Communicate effectively and proactively, both verbally and in writing
- Collaborate with the Operations team to create work orders for facility requests

Transportation Coordination
- Schedule and allocate school-owned vehicles for various programs and events
- Maintain accurate records of individuals authorized to drive school vehicles
- Organize repairs and alternative transportation for school vehicles
- Facilitate training for individuals to become California Certified School Bus drivers
- Explore innovative ideas and technologies to enhance transportation coordination and ensure student safety
- Review and schedule regular maintenance for school vehicles to meet safety standards
- Establish and maintain operational manuals and records for inventory and expenditure control
- Analyze transportation needs for upcoming events and optimize scheduling
- Provide guidance on transportation-related issues and concerns
- Participate in budget planning and manage expenditure control
- Uphold policies and procedures for transporting students in private vehicles
- Stay informed about current regulations for student transportation

Qualifications

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience in event management, facilities management, or a related field preferred

Licenses and Certifications
- Valid Fingerprint Clearance
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
- TB Risk Assessment
- Ministry Safe Clearance
