About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled International Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for administering and implementing end-to-end export operational processes to ensure trade compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and implement end-to-end export operational processes to ensure trade compliance.
  • Work with internal parties to maintain and improve compliance, operational, and process efficiencies.
  • Create Hardware Shipment Requests for international exports in Enterprise Export Management System (EEMS).
  • Prepare and maintain complete and accurate documentation in accordance with all internal requirements, terms & conditions, and government regulations governing trade compliance.
  • Determine the best method of transportation globally, considering factors such as export/import authority, expense, delivery times, and user requirements.
  • Create SAP deliveries for international export shipments.
  • Complete all required export compliance training in a timely fashion.
  • Work with cross-functional departments to manage requests for information missing at the time of import or export.
  • Monitor and track shipments, review and maintain data in systems, and generate performance metrics for all related activity.
  • Manage comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with US and foreign regulations.
  • Assist on trade compliance counsel assessments and prepare and/or review documentation as needed with management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • Additional 4+ years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in export operations, logistics, or supply chain, trade compliance, import/export regulations, freight forwarding.
  • Ability to obtain a clearance (this requires US citizenship).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense Industry, knowledge of US Customs Regulations, and handling imports and/or exports in accordance with Government Regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Air exports freight forwarding experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in processing international transportation activities.
  • Ability to understand global impact of regulatory decisions (assertiveness and diplomacy to achieve results).
  • SAP S/4 & OCR experience.
