Job Summary

Compass Career Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Opportunities Specialist to join our team. As an Employment Opportunities Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping individuals achieve their employment goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Eligibility: Conduct thorough assessments and interviews with clients to determine their eligibility for employment opportunities.
  • Client Support: Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients to help them achieve their employment goals, including assisting them in assessing and furthering their career growth and skills.
  • Employment Placement: Assist clients in obtaining gainful employment at wages at or above minimum wage, and provide ongoing employment-related soft and hard skills development to assist clients in obtaining and retaining independent employment.
  • Documentation and Data Management: Document data and notes to track the individual's progress toward goals on barrier, employment/service plans.
  • Community Partnerships: Make connections to maintain strong community partnerships with other service providers and employers.
  • Representation and Communication: Represent Compass Career Solutions at professional meetings, community events, and to members of the community, and actively participate in scheduled internal and external meetings.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in the social service field.
  • Experience: One-year related experience and/or training working with people in crisis, specifically in employment services.
  • Transportation: A valid driver's license, insurance, and own vehicle transportation.
  • Skills: Self-starter, excellent time management skills, and proactive problem solver, with the ability to work a flexible schedule and perform CPR/First Aide as needed.
