Position Overview

The Spa Receptionist plays a crucial role in managing and organizing all spa services, including scheduling appointments, overseeing pool access, and coordinating group activities. This position is essential for maintaining the overall quality and operational efficiency of the spa. The Spa Receptionist is also responsible for managing retail inventory, assisting with monthly stock assessments, and ensuring the retail area is well-presented and stocked.

The individual in this role will open and close the spa, handle cash transactions, and utilize the spa management software effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Respond promptly to phone inquiries, providing accurate information about spa services and amenities.
  2. Efficiently schedule guest appointments and assist senior staff with bookings and administrative tasks.
  3. Welcome guests warmly and provide detailed explanations of available services.
  4. Maintain a friendly demeanor and engage guests in pleasant conversation.
  5. Possess comprehensive knowledge of all spa offerings and retail products.
  6. Clearly articulate and describe spa services and products with enthusiasm.
  7. Guide guests through the spa facilities as needed, ensuring a relaxed experience.
  8. Promote special services and highlight the features of the spa.
  9. Communicate effectively with management regarding guest requests or concerns.
  10. Complete daily administrative tasks as directed.
  11. Manage the opening and closing procedures of the spa, including cash handling and report generation.
  12. Keep the reception area and lobby pristine, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  13. Assist in planning and executing monthly retail inventory.
  14. Utilize downtime to review procedures and seek guidance when necessary.
  15. Fulfill the role of Spa Attendant as required.
  16. Be knowledgeable about first aid and emergency protocols to assist guests appropriately.
  17. Incorporate the company’s values of service excellence into daily operations.

Qualifications:

  1. Preferred experience of at least two years in spa or hotel front desk roles.
  2. CPR certification is a plus.
  3. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  4. Proficient computer skills and experience are necessary.
  5. Reliability and punctuality are essential attributes.
  6. Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining composure.
  7. A commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience.
  8. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
  9. Capability to work in a serene environment with exposure to heat and steam.
  10. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 40 pounds.
  11. Manual dexterity and strong communication skills are necessary.
