Job Overview

Position for Field Assessment Engineer at Sedona Technologies Government Services (STGS). The Field Assessment Engineer is integral in evaluating and documenting damages in collaboration with various stakeholders. This engineering expert will carry out site evaluations, record damage reports, and prepare essential documentation to support grant management activities.

Primary Duties:

  • Perform thorough evaluations at damage locations.
  • Precisely record damage reports from grant applicants.
  • Input data into grant management systems.
  • Generate detailed Damage Description and Dimensions forms.
  • Create maps, annotated photographs, and sketches to enhance written documentation.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to applicants with prompt follow-ups and a professional demeanor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Completion of FEMA's mandated courses, including various IS courses.
  • Experience in building evaluations, insurance assessments, building code enforcement, or the construction sector.
  • Valid driver's license.

Physical and Medical Requirements:

  • A moderate level of physical fitness is required.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • E/L 0865: Completion of the Public Assistance Site Inspection course is recommended.
  • Must maintain an active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Work Environment:

  • Coordinate deployment logistics such as working conditions, duration of deployment, security measures, accommodation, transportation, and meals prior to deployment.
  • Identify any required specialty areas based on incident requirements.
