Join Our Team as a Production Operations Manager

This Direct Hire opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $100k-$110k annually, providing a chance to make a significant impact on a successful manufacturing operation. Enjoy a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, where you will oversee all aspects of production, logistics, safety, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate operations within the designated areas of production and distribution, ensuring maintenance, safety, quality, and shipping processes are effectively managed.
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to align plant activities with overall operational goals, ensuring timely and cost-efficient execution.
  • Manage scheduling and material flow through the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system, proactively addressing challenges related to orders, supplier deliveries, workforce needs, and equipment usage.
  • Maintain communication with Customer Service and Sales teams regarding order statuses, promptly informing them of any delays or service interruptions along with recovery strategies.
  • Monitor and report on specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to plant performance in distribution, production, safety, and quality.
  • Control and reduce labor costs, overtime, premium freight, and repair expenditures.
  • Ensure the maintenance and enhancement of existing plant facilities and equipment, making necessary adjustments or replacements as required.
  • Implement and uphold preventative maintenance initiatives.
  • Provide leadership, training, and development support to team members.

Qualifications:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or a related discipline, coupled with over five years of experience in plant or general management within a manufacturing setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Proven expertise in MRP systems and the ability to navigate complex challenges to ensure timely product delivery.
  3. Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting.
  4. Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and the capability to enforce relevant policies and procedures.
  5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Experience with manufacturing methodologies, process improvement initiatives, and operational procedures.
  7. Knowledge of production scheduling techniques and enhancements.
