Job Summary

Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Product Development/Design team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a diverse team of engineers, ensuring the successful development of new electro-mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in the development of new products, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgetary constraints.
  • Provide technical guidance to both the Engineering team and Sales/Marketing teams, including engaging in customer visits and tracking industry trends.
  • Manage intricate design activities while ensuring program objectives are met within stipulated cost and schedule parameters.
  • Make substantial contributions to the continuous improvement of processes, systems, and products.
  • Exercise personnel authority over the Engineering organization, including recruitment, performance appraisals, promotions, and compensation decisions, subject to upper management approval.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (EE, ME, CS, ChE), Master's preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) leading a technical team in the development of new electro-mechanical products in, ideally Aerospace or DoD industry, or other highly regulated industries (automotive, medical, etc.).
  • Proven technical expertise in power systems, electronic design, and software development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in program management, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgetary constraints.
  • Familiarity with aerospace environmental and development standards applicable to both Military and Commercial sectors (e.g., MIL-STD-810, DO-160, DO-178, DO-254).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced engineering degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Engineering Management experience within a highly regulated sector such as Aerospace, Automotive, or Medical industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching complex technical products into the market.
  • Competence in drafting technical proposals and providing non-recurring engineering (NRE) estimates to support new business bids and proposals.
