Position Overview:
As a Software Programming Educator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of software developers. Your expertise will contribute to the educational mission of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health, offering courses that empower students with essential programming skills.

Role Summary:
We are seeking qualified candidates to instruct in our Software Development curriculum. This program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to create software applications using high-level programming languages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refine course syllabi in collaboration with the program director.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging course materials and assessments.
  • Utilize the designated Learning Management System for course delivery and support.
  • Provide timely responses to student inquiries and learning needs.
  • Maintain effective communication with program directors and course managers.
  • Implement inclusive teaching methodologies to cater to diverse student populations.
  • Assess student performance and assign grades based on specific learning outcomes.
  • Submit final grades promptly following course completion.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in higher education teaching is preferred.
  • Familiarity with online teaching methodologies is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in curriculum design and student assessment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in college-level instruction.
  • Experience with online course delivery.
