Job Overview

The Board of Bar Overseers seeks a skilled Financial Investigations Professional to join our team. This role is responsible for conducting thorough financial analysis and investigations of Massachusetts attorneys' trust accounts, ensuring compliance with ethical rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze bank records and financial statements.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for Assistant Bar Counsel.
  • Conduct on-site reviews of attorney offices and banks.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of accounting principles and financial software applications.
  • Collaborate with Assistant Bar Counsel to investigate complaints and allegations of misconduct.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary: The starting salary range for this position is $71,652.00 – $88,860.00 based on experience.
