Role Overview:

The Facilities Supervisor for HVAC Operations plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe, compliant, and ethical workplace. This position requires maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge, supervising compliance, and proactively addressing potential challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance area performance by managing staffing, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring effective communication and training on safety and legal requirements.
  • Conduct performance evaluations with team members to establish goals and development plans that foster skill enhancement.
  • Promote teamwork by leading and participating in departmental improvement initiatives.

Technical and Area Performance:

  • Maintain relevant subject area and technical expertise to make informed decisions and drive improvements.
  • Ensure team members possess necessary certifications and training for their roles.
  • Supervise the timely and thorough completion of assigned preventive maintenance and work orders.
  • Ensure the maintenance of equipment and tools in optimal working condition.
  • Assist in the installation, modification, maintenance, and removal of facilities equipment.

Accountability and Improvement:

  • Be accountable for area and shift performance, driving team accountability.
  • Monitor equipment and area performance to identify and resolve issues, enhancing stability.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce equipment defects and improve quality.
  • Utilize systematic problem-solving techniques to address issues promptly.
  • Identify and spearhead projects aimed at enhancing area and equipment performance.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in utilizing area processes and equipment knowledge for informed decision-making.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proven ability to motivate and maintain team morale.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
  • Experience in managing area equipment and processes.
  • Ability to identify, drive, and complete area improvement projects.
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of performance management principles.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Critical thinking and continuous learning mindset.

Education and Experience:

  • Required: Relevant degree or appropriate certifications/licensing, or equivalent experience.
  • Required: Availability to work 12-hour shifts (3 on/4 off and 4 on/3 off), with rotation from days to nights every four months.
  • Preferred: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree with one year of supervisory experience and three years of technical experience.
