Work Schedule: Compressed Shift, Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, alternating Wednesdays, 5:45AM – 6:00PM
Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
The Facilities Operations Control Specialist (FOCS) will collaborate with a team of technicians to address routine equipment alerts for facility systems across the site.
- Monitor, receive, and interpret signals from various alarm systems and software applications within the control environment.
- Oversee equipment such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, air scrubbers, make-up air units, and gas and chemical systems.
- In case of system malfunctions, the FOCS must be capable of assisting in the prompt restoration of facility equipment.
- Safety and Quality: Complete all mandatory safety training and perform all tasks in compliance with safety protocols. Ensure that area-specific procedures and documentation are current and submit updates as necessary.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work with key stakeholders to enhance critical metrics, resolve equipment/process challenges, and optimize system stability while proactively communicating any changes to equipment and potential impacts.
- Technical/Data Analysis: Support and monitor area processes, addressing and escalating issues as needed. Track equipment performance and identify solutions for recurring alarm issues.
- Intermediate proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Ability to maintain composure in emergency situations.
- Basic arithmetic skills.
- Electrical and mechanical knowledge or experience.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and their operations.
- Understanding of pumps, exhaust fans, motors, and other facility equipment.
- Previous experience in a facilities, project, or control room environment.
- Five years of experience in a control room or dispatch role.
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
The Facilities Operations Control Specialist will work 12-hour shifts at a desk, monitoring alarms for HVAC, water services, toxic gas systems, chemical distribution systems, pollution control equipment, boilers, electrical systems, pumps, generators, and other supporting equipment. The FOCS will need to learn to communicate alarms to various trades and operate equipment from the control room.
