Job Title: Associate Business Manager

At JAMS, we are committed to diversity and inclusion. We are seeking an experienced Associate Business Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Associate Business Manager will be responsible for leading part of a larger Resolution Center (RC) team or solely a smaller RC focused on the case management function. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of maximizing efficiencies and profitability, while supporting opportunities to improve performance both financially and operationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the case management of direct reports to ensure that expectations are met with clients and panelists.
  • Manage the case management team to ensure all files are administered at the highest level.
  • Perform case management duties and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the arbitration process and procedure.
  • Manage team performance through regular, timely feedback and the formal performance review process.
  • Lead, coach, and develop associates to deliver exceptional services and engagement.
  • Partner with HR in hiring, training, and ongoing support.
  • Provide client service through reviewing and responding to client feedback and identifying trends that impact the client experience.
  • Develop relationships with key clients and maintain professional and supportive relationships with panelists.
  • Collaborate with Facilities and building management on upgrades, renovations, relocations/remodels, and day-to-day facilities issues.
  • Collaborate with Finance on all billing issues, including determinations on write-offs, refunds, panel rates, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in legal services office management or a related field.
  • Legal or client experience.
  • Ability to support budgeting, success measurement, expense management, A/R percentages, and interrelations of those areas and the overall impact on the business imperative.
  • Ability to assess client satisfaction, identify additional client service opportunities, and implement strategies to strengthen client relationships, increase client retention, and resolve client issues.
  • Ability to support the development and implementation of strategic solutions that can improve client relations and client service.
  • Computer literate and proficient in all technology and software programs required for the position.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of proficiency at verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict in a direct, solution-oriented manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience with multimedia support (Zoom, HDMI connection to display, Creston).
  • Ability to proactively verify and test existing A/V equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues while working with remote IT support.
