Job Title: Patient Access Representative
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Position Summary:
- Oversee the patient registration process, which includes confirming patient identity, reviewing schedules and physician orders, gathering demographic and insurance details, and clarifying complex regulatory and compliance documents to patients.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for patients, welcoming them, addressing inquiries, and ensuring they are guided to the correct service area.
- Execute scheduling, pre-admission, and discharge responsibilities, while providing updates to families in waiting areas.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory
- Minimum of two years in customer service and/or data entry roles
- Proficient keyboarding skills are essential
- Familiarity with third-party payers, ICD-9/CPT coding, and medical terminology is advantageous
