Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Parts Delivery Driver/Warehouse professional to join our team at McCandless Truck Center. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and picking up parts and equipment for our dealership, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to our customers and satellite stores.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors.
  • Coordinate with delivery supervisor, parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk to ensure efficient delivery routes.
  • Verify and organize parts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist delivery Supervisor in organizing the delivery route for maximum efficiency.
  • Load and deliver parts to customers, maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent customer service.
  • Verify invoices and payments for each delivery, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Keep accurate records of daily deliveries and pick-ups, requesting recipient's signature on each delivery entry.
  • Unload truck each night, turning in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
  • Inspect and maintain delivery vehicle to ensure safe operation.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as filling tank with gas, checking oil, and keeping the truck clean.
  • Advise parts manager of any major repairs or maintenance needs for the delivery vehicle.
  • Help maintain a professional appearance of the parts department.
  • Assist with stocking and posting orders when they arrive, expediting delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
  • Understand and observe all safety practices and procedures.
Warehouse Responsibilities
  • Check in all orders received through the warehouse, utilizing the established parts order receiving process to ensure proper check-in procedure.
  • Give top priority to air freight orders, checking them in first and notifying the parts person that their order has arrived.
  • Administer air freight charges to the back order slip.
  • Emergency orders will be the next priority, with freight charges administered to the back order slip and the parts person notified of receipt.
  • Stock orders must be checked in and binned in a timely manner, with all parts placed in their proper location.
  • Notify the service parts counter person of all incoming orders for the service department.
  • Bring any discrepancies to the attention of the warehouse supervisor, including receiving the wrong part, damaged parts, wrong quantities, wrong bin locations, and inaccurate count.
  • Log all orders shipped through the shipping manifest system.
  • Include proper freight charges on the invoice for all orders shipped.
  • Package orders to prevent potential damage during shipping.
  • Provide high-level service to internal and external customers.
  • Notify the parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
  • Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
  • Participate in all training programs made available.
  • Keep current on new products and product updates.
  • Participate with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
