Parts Professional Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Parts Professional to support our service team at our Henderson, Colorado branch. As a key member of our parts department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our parts inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, handle, store, and dispatch parts in the local branch, verifying for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including receiving parts calls, greeting and assisting walk-in customers, and processing transactions (cash handling, check and credit card transactions).
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests or orders.
  • Develop positive relationships with internal and external customers, identifying opportunities to upsell supporting products and services as appropriate.
  • Support other parts personnel and technicians in sourcing and locating complex parts requests using various systems, catalogs, and other resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including managing stock levels, shipping and receiving parts, warehouse activities, and inventory management tasks.
Requirements:
  • Significant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, Quickserve, and Cummins Genuine Parts knowledge preferred.
  • Strong customer service experience required.
  • Ability to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally and wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Forklift and/or other warehouse machinery operating experience preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a neat and clean appearance in the customer parts area and parts warehouse.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings.
