What You Will Be Doing
AmerisourceBergen requires all U.S. team members to be fully vaccinated and show proof of completed vaccine status at time of hire. Under the guidance of the Customer Service Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering courteous, professional, and efficient service consistently. You will engage in outbound communications with select low-volume accounts to provide exceptional service and maintain effective communication with clients not currently supported by a field sales associate.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Initiate regular service calls to a designated number of low-volume accounts within the local area.
- Keep existing customers informed about new programs, promotional activities, products, and services while addressing any inquiries or unresolved issues.
- Resolve customer concerns related to missed shipments, pricing adjustments, and backorders, striving for prompt solutions.
- Collaborate with field sales associates to coordinate special orders, accept quotations, and manage manufacturer communications.
- Work closely with warehouse personnel, customers, and field sales associates to ensure a seamless order process.
- Process all customer orders received via phone, fax, mail, email, and verbal communication.
- Provide accurate responses to customer inquiries and complaints regarding products and services; escalate issues to the Customer Service Supervisor when necessary.
- Perform data entry tasks related to order processing, access previous orders, and provide current pricing information; research additional inquiries as needed.
- Assist customers with backorders by suggesting substitutions and alternatives when feasible, contacting manufacturers for delivery updates, and maintaining current open order reports.
- Communicate effectively with all departments within the Distribution Center as well as field sales associates.
- Act as a liaison between customers and field sales associates.
- Offer suggestions and recommendations to the Supervisor to enhance customer service operations continually.
- Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, safety regulations, and guidelines.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
What Your Background Should Look Like
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, or similar disciplines typically acquired through the completion of a four-year Bachelor's Degree program, technical vocational training, or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires two (2) to four (4) years of directly related experience.

- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Effective decision-making abilities.
- Good analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Capacity to resolve customer issues quickly and creatively to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with AmerisourceBergen products, services, and pharmaceutical distribution operations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and inventory management systems.
