Job Overview:

  • Completion of competency checklists for both skill sets required at CR1 level.
  • Responsible for answering calls from public and internal customers, including employees, patients, and visitors, while documenting and dispatching work requests.
  • Assistance with special projects as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Proficient in all phone and work request dispatch responsibilities, with the ability to cover for CR 1s on any shift.
  • Monitoring of environmental alarms, including doors, gates, parking lot intercoms, and CCTV.
  • Support the workflow and assignments for patient transporters.
  • Lead or participate in departmental projects.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and departmental performance maximization.
  • Perform all duties in a competent, professional, and courteous manner.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to manage challenging situations and provide conflict resolution when necessary.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to understand instructions, correspondence, memos, and other forms of communication.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Additional Information:

  • Experience in an administrative support role and/or customer service is preferred, with a background in healthcare, call center, or dispatch services being advantageous.
  • Minimum educational requirement: H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent.
  • Experience: 1+ year required.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical requirements include sitting or standing/walking, with occasional stooping, climbing, or lifting of light materials (10 to 20 lbs).
  • Work environment is primarily indoors with potential mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature, and noise.
