Job Title: Vice President of People

The Vice President of People will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for shaping and executing our people strategy. This role will drive HR initiatives, talent acquisition strategies, and culture development to ensure we attract, develop, and retain top talent while nurturing a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directly manage the core pillars of the People Team: HR, Talent Acquisition, and Culture.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and people strategy, including staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to drive employee engagement and fulfillment, support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Administer or oversee the administration of human resource programs, including onboarding, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends, including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • In partnership with Finance, ensure organizational alignment to staffing budget and headcount plan.
  • In partnership with Legal, monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of progressive human resource management experience, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
