Overview:
As a key contributor, you will deliver essential engineering insights to guarantee that construction activities adhere to all engineering standards, regulations, and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:


Engage daily with project teams to assess production timelines and verify that all necessary materials, tools, and resources are available to maintain project schedules and budget constraints.


Gather, coordinate, and evaluate shop drawings, design criteria, material specifications, and project information throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to quality and contractual requirements.

Provide technical contributions to project work plans and timelines, identifying potential risks related to production, materials, equipment, or processes that may adversely affect budget or scheduling.


Monitor daily production metrics, schedule adherence, and budget forecasts to accurately evaluate project performance. Document daily operations using company-approved methods and technologies.


Alert team members and management of any significant schedule adjustments and propose solutions for consideration.


Execute additional tasks as directed by management.


Submit precise project quantity data and manage cost coding to ensure accurate financial reporting for the project. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams regarding employee hours, materials, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.


Review and authorize daily timecards for all construction teams. Work with the Office Manager, payroll, and job supervisors to address timecard inquiries as necessary.


Examine project specifications for quality assurance at the start, during, and upon completion of work. Initiate and oversee necessary certifications, inspections, and documentation related to construction activities on-site.


Collaborate with construction teams and engineering leaders to strategize field layout on-site, ensuring proper marking of utility and commercial lines prior to the commencement of work.


Initiate and manage any required permits before work initiation.


Conduct necessary Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for all personnel. Participate in weekly safety meetings with field teams and project leadership, presenting field analyses as required.


Support the estimating team with project timelines and provide technical insights as needed.


Assist in the development of design drawings and offer technical input as necessary.


Coordinate subcontractor work methodologies, schedules, and teams as required.


Reconcile job close-out checklists with owner representatives and field teams at project completion.


Maintain awareness of company values and strategic objectives.



Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required.

1+ year of experience is preferred.

Experience or knowledge in construction engineering is essential.

Basic understanding of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, building materials, and applicable standards is necessary.

Ability to take responsibility and communicate effectively with others.
