Overview:


As a Construction Project Superintendent at Flatiron Construction Corp, you will oversee and manage various project activities across multiple construction sites.


Key Responsibilities:
Directs various types of construction tasks at assigned locations. Collaborates with project managers, field engineers, and estimators to ensure adherence to contract specifications and drawings.

Plans work methodologies, material requirements, equipment needs, and schedules for designated project tasks. Reviews daily work plans with team members and adjusts monthly schedules based on project updates.

Analyzes project specifications to facilitate job setup processes at all designated sites. Works alongside crews, field engineers, and local utility providers to pinpoint hazardous conditions on site.


Offers technical insights to identify and mitigate project risks related to construction techniques, work plans, material needs, safety protocols, and scheduling activities.

Maintains records of daily operations and meeting notes in accordance with company-approved documentation practices.

Completes additional tasks as directed by management.

Delivers production work plans during initial project meetings to ensure alignment among all project teams and leaders.


Coordinates with both internal and external stakeholders to guarantee that project work is supplied with the necessary equipment and materials to achieve production goals within budget and timeline.

Anticipates potential scheduling conflicts and provides technical or scheduling solutions to address production challenges.

Works with internal and external departments to ensure all required inspections are conducted within specified timeframes.

Advocates for strict compliance with safety and procedural controls regarding equipment operation, site safety, and documentation standards.

Supervises subcontractor productivity and workforce concerning assigned project tasks. Suggests adjustments to work schedules or methods for subcontractor activities as necessary.

Facilitates project closeout activities in accordance with company standards and owner checklist requirements.

Maintains awareness of company values and strategic objectives.

Qualifications:
15+ years of experience in heavy civil construction is required.

9+ years of experience in a Superintendent role is required.

A Bachelor's Degree is advantageous.

Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification is preferred.

Possession of a valid Driver's License.

Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills are essential.

Strong leadership abilities with a commitment to mentoring and developing internal talent.

Demonstrated capability to manage complex construction projects through effective organization and multitasking skills.

Proven track record of managing challenging schedules and project demands while ensuring compliance with safety programs.

Expertise in a specialized area of construction.

Advanced understanding of construction equipment operation and maintenance requirements.

In-depth knowledge of construction site safety protocols and the ability to enforce safety programs effectively.

Familiarity with local union or prevailing wage regulations.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret standards, plans, and specifications.

Competence in mathematical concepts such as probability, statistics, and geometry, with the ability to apply these concepts to practical situations.

Ability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
