Position Overview:
As a Field Engineering Specialist at TEI Construction Services, Inc., you will play a crucial role in our project teams, delivering essential engineering and technical support directly on-site.
Your collaboration with project leaders will be key to ensuring compliance with contract specifications, safety protocols, and the maintenance of superior work quality. Your engineering acumen will significantly contribute to the successful execution of our projects.
Project Oversight:
Oversee the Requests for Information (RFI) process, which includes reviewing specifications and project documentation, conducting visual inspections, and generating documentation for issues, potential modifications, and contract change orders.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for change order submissions and engage in negotiations with clients.
Monitor and report production quantities to project control and management teams.
Manage the creation of construction and installation work packages for assigned disciplines.
Conduct walk-downs to assess the progress of work packages.
Commitment to Health, Safety, and Environment:
Integrate Health, Safety, and Environmental considerations into all project documentation and site operations.
Serve as a safety excellence role model and engage in the development of job hazard analyses.
Engineering Collaboration and Support:
Engage in project team meetings, providing valuable engineering insights for project-related decisions.
Establish strong relationships with superintendents to deliver timely technical and engineering support for field execution tasks.
Regularly interact with clients, engineers, and subcontractors to grasp and incorporate project objectives, timelines, permits, and cost factors into site issue resolutions.
Assist in the transition processes with construction and startup/commissioning teams, ensuring proper documentation is provided related to the project.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience.
- At least one year of field or project engineering experience.
- Preferred experience in the startup and commissioning of power or industrial plants or systems.
- Familiarity with InEight software (Plan, Control, Document & Compliance Modules) or similar construction management software in a project field assignment role.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam software.
- Understanding of fundamental engineering calculations.
- Knowledge of project costing and scheduling principles.

Our base pay ranges are established based on function, discipline, level, and regional area, benchmarked against companies in similar industries.
Final offers may vary based on various factors, including education, depth and relevance of work experience, and relevant licenses and certifications.
The base pay range for this Field Engineering Specialist role is $85,260.00 to $94,240.00 annually.
