Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist PRN to join our team at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing basic front-desk support for clinical intake operations, including patient check-in and check-out, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
  • Manage patient intake and check-out processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion
  • Schedule appointments and follow-ups, coordinating with physicians and staff as needed
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient demographics and insurance information
  • Collaborate with the Business Office Associate to resolve patient financial matters and insurance-related issues
  • Perform other related duties as needed, including reception assistance and telephone screening
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and Internet applications
  • Light, accurate keyboarding skills
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks efficiently and thrive in a team work environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer-based scheduling and appointment programs
