Certified Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment.
Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including preparing patients for surgery and assisting with recovery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately and thoroughly.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Surgical Technologist or in a clinical setting.
- Successful completion of a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technology and holds a certified surgical technologist (CST) credential.
- Ability to work effectively in emergency situations and maintain a calm and composed demeanor under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
