As a Corporate Development M&A Associate at Renesas Electronics, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives to drive the company's growth and competitive positioning in the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of potential strategic acquisitions and assess the fit of opportunities relative to Renesas' internal strategic goals.
  2. Financial Modeling: Utilize financial modeling and forecasting techniques to evaluate business scenarios, assess investment opportunities, and determine valuations of target companies.
  3. M&A Process Management: Support all aspects of the transaction execution process, including due diligence, contract negotiations, and post-close integration planning.
  4. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across various functions, including finance, operations, HR, and legal, to align strategic initiatives with business goals and drive execution excellence.
  5. Communication and Presentation: Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, reports, and strategic updates to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress on acquisition and divesture opportunities.
  6. Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track personal professional progress. Conduct regular performance reviews and recommend course corrections as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate strategy / development, investment banking, management consulting, or related roles in corporate transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills and deep understanding of financial statements with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Experience developing complex financial models, performing ad hoc analyses, and conducting company valuations using various methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
