Lead System Validation Specialist

As a Lead System Validation Specialist at AG Consulting Partners, your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Conducting validation and benchmarking across various cloud configurations, instances, and kernels.
  • Producing comprehensive reports for all qualification and benchmarking activities.
  • Assessing and providing insights on our qualification and benchmarking platform from a user experience perspective.
  • Executing qualifications for new hardware, components, firmware, and kernels within on-premises production settings.
  • Supporting our architects by developing documentation and testing runbooks in collaboration with vendors.
  • Collaborating with vendors to troubleshoot hardware issues identified during production and qualification phases.
  • Assisting the Reliability Engagement team in diagnosing on-premises hardware challenges, including liaising with hardware vendors.
  • Overseeing the Sunnyvale lab to meet the requirements of internal engineering teams.
  • Conducting firmware and kernel qualifications for cloud production environments as necessary.

Qualifications:

You should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline, or 7+ years of equivalent industry experience.
  • A solid grasp of server hardware at scale, including data center networking fundamentals, OS imaging, provisioning, distribution, and large-scale configuration deployment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with expertise in algorithms, data structures, and complexity analysis.
  • A comprehensive understanding of qualification processes and testing tools.
  • Experience with multiple scripting and programming languages, such as C/C++, Python, Go, etc.
  • Cloud experience, preferably with GCP, OCI, or AWS.
  • The ability to drive issues to resolution and collaborate effectively with vendors, team members, and cross-functional teams.

You may also have:

  • Experience in large organizations (10,000+ employees).
  • Experience working with distributed teams.
  • Proficiency in coding with Go.
