Overview:
Insight Global is seeking a skilled Hardware Validation Engineer to contribute to a prominent technology organization.

This role is situated within the Reality Labs division, which aims to connect individuals globally through innovative Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and endorse layout plans, including the types of computers and modifications to peripheral equipment.
  • Evaluate and approve product prototypes, functional models, or theoretical constructs developed through computer simulations.
  • Oversee equipment functionality and authorize modifications to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Create comprehensive functional specifications that document the hardware development lifecycle and facilitate hardware integration.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for engineering teams, consulting specifications to assess the interface between hardware and software, as well as the operational and performance requirements of the overall system.
  • Provide training and assistance to system designers and end-users.
  • Design and develop computer hardware and supporting peripherals, including CPUs, support logic, microprocessors, custom integrated circuits, and storage devices.
  • Guide technicians, engineering designers, or other technical support staff as necessary.
Compensation:
$80-85/hr

Qualifications:
  • Leadership experience with project management qualities.
  • Over 5 years of experience in electronics validation or testing engineering.
  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering principles.
  • Proficient in using standard laboratory testing equipment (Oscilloscope, function generator, multimeter, LCR meter, etc.).
  • Experience in designing and executing both manual and automated tests, documenting measurements, and maintaining accurate test data records.
  • Experience with consumer devices.
  • Knowledge of power consumption testing in a laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with Python for data-driven testing.
