As a Wireless Systems Validation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the characterization of wireless systems within a team responsible for the design and commercialization of cutting-edge wireless communication devices. Your contributions will include developing the testing and automation frameworks utilized by validation teams for RF and cellular SoC characterization. You will be tasked with architecting and implementing the testing framework that supports system integration, characterization, and testing processes.
Responsibilities
- Define requirements, design, implement, and maintain the automation framework for wireless SoC testing.
- Create software routines for automating test equipment control, data acquisition, and processing.
- Conduct system integration and testing of wireless SoCs, focusing on characterization and optimization.
- Collaborate with design engineers to formulate test plans, analyze data, and generate comprehensive test reports.
- Investigate and develop advanced calibration and measurement methodologies.
- Automate repetitive measurements using established scripting languages.
- Continuously strive to enhance testing speed, coverage, and precision.
Key Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in wireless system characterization within communication systems on chips is preferred.
- Strong foundation in test software development principles and code management practices.
- Practical experience with wireless system firmware/software regression testing.
- Familiarity with digital interfaces such as SPI/I2C/JTAG and production testing systems.
- Knowledge of data storage, databases, and data visualization tools.
- Proficient in measurement automation tools and scripting languages including C/C++, SCPI, Python, Perl, and Matlab.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a strong desire to tackle diverse challenges.
A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience is required. A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.

- At Apple, base pay is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package. The base pay range for this position is between $136,300 and $248,700, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
