Position Overview:

Aston Carter is seeking a dedicated Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly financial closing cycle and ensure accurate financial statement generation.
  • Regularly reconcile all balance sheet accounts to maintain accuracy.
  • Supervise accounts payable processes across all business units.
  • Oversee the invoicing procedures for various entities.
  • Direct accounts receivable management for all divisions.
  • Utilize the WinTeam Financial ERP platform extensively.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Team Financial regarding operational matters.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of Team Financial Systems (ERP).
  • Maintain vehicle licensing for all entities.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual reporting.
  • Support tax planning and compliance efforts.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in accounting principles, general ledger management, and reconciliation.
  • Experience with month-end closing processes and journal entries.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Strong background in accounts payable and receivable management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in the field.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A Master's degree is considered an asset.
  • In-depth understanding of GAAP, business practices, and management principles.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Previous leadership experience in a related field is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
