We are seeking a skilled Head Chef to oversee our kitchen operations at Butcher Banquet. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in managing kitchen workflows, supervising inventory, and maintaining exceptional standards in food quality and presentation. They will also be tasked with ensuring that our culinary practices align with the company's commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize labor and food expenses to adhere to budgetary guidelines
  • Supervise daily kitchen activities
  • Effectively coordinate team members and resources in a dynamic environment
  • Design high-quality menus based on ingredient availability and cost efficiency
  • Oversee food procurement and invoice management
  • Ensure proper cooking techniques, portion control, and presentation standards
  • Manage the acquisition of food and kitchen equipment
  • Guarantee outstanding food presentation for discerning guests
  • Conduct regular inventory assessments
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

  • Relevant prior experience in a culinary leadership role
  • Ability to establish and uphold high standards in the kitchen
  • Self-driven with strong leadership capabilities
  • Creative and proactive approach to culinary challenges
  • Knowledge of health regulations and food safety practices
  • Understanding of profit and loss, food and labor costs, and menu pricing strategies
  • Exhibit professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to both guests and team members

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to see, hear, speak, lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend, and move throughout shifts. Reasonable accommodations can be made as necessary.
