About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our team at SEA. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring that dishes are creative, delicious, and meet the highest standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to maintain consistency and quality, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, including line cooks and prep cooks, to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Place orders with vendors for ingredients, supplies, and equipment as needed, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies promptly to maintain optimal stock levels, reducing waste and minimizing costs.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Handle kitchen-related issues and emergencies efficiently, providing effective solutions and minimizing downtime.
Requirements
  • Ability to assist the Head Chef in creating and developing menus that are creative, delicious, and meet the highest standards.
  • Strong supervisory skills, with the ability to coordinate and motivate kitchen staff to achieve exceptional results.
  • Excellent food preparation and presentation skills, with a focus on maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Ability to train and mentor kitchen staff, including line cooks and prep cooks, to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Experience in placing orders with vendors for ingredients, supplies, and equipment as required, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining inventory levels.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to monitor inventory levels and order supplies promptly to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Commitment to ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle kitchen-related issues and emergencies efficiently and effectively.
